Designed for the needs of our selected tropical fruit trees, we have created this nutrient rich, organic and porous soil mix. Of course completely peat-free.

This mixture is particularly suitable for plants that grow in the ground and have slightly smaller roots than e.g. our epiphytes ( plants that grow on other plants )

Mycorrhizal fungi live in symbiosis with the root system and grow as thin threads that penetrate the cell walls. They thus form an extension of the plant's root system, which promotes root development and the absorption of nutrients and provides protection against diseases and pests.

Trichoderma lives in symbiosis with the plant and protects it against both harmful pathogens and unwanted fungi.

Why Peat is Bad for the Climate

Peat has traditionally been used in many commercial soil mixtures, but its use has a significant negative impact on the climate. Peat consists of partially decomposed plant material that accumulates in wetlands over thousands of years. When peat is mined for use in soil mixtures, large amounts of carbon dioxide (CO2) that were previously tied up in the peat layers are released. This contributes to greenhouse gas emissions and global warming.

Contents: perlite, finely ground coconut fiber, worm castings & symbiotic Mycorrhiza as well Trichoderma harzianum fungi
