Try to find a cuter monster.
Monstera Deliciosa is a favorite among many because of its ease of care and its broad, bright green leaves that develop window formations as the plant matures. Although these 'holes' were originally developed as a way to help the plant withstand the windy and rainy climates of its native Central American rainforests, they give this plant a distinct personality, leading to its nickname 'Swiss Cheese Plant'.
Care: Replant in aroid soil when the roots start to grow out of the holes in the bottom of the pot. Our mixture reduces the risk of overwatering and root rot. Indirect sunlight to promote healthy growth. Avoid direct sunlight. Monstera deliciosa needs a support, such as a mosspole or trellis, to climb and develop optimally.
Botanical Description
Origin: Mexico (Veracruz, Oaxaca, Chiapas)
Leaves: The leaves are large, heart-shaped to oval, and become deeply lobed and perforated as they mature. The young leaves are whole and without holes. Mature leaves can be up to 90 cm long and 60 cm wide under optimal conditions.
Growth habit: Monstera deliciosa is a climbing plant that uses its aerial roots to attach itself to supports and climb upwards. In its natural habitat, it can climb up to several meters high.
Flowers & Fruit: The flowers are creamy white and can develop into edible fruits under the right conditions. The fruit, sometimes called "Mexican breadfruit", is oblong and green with a grainy surface. When ripe, it tastes sweet and aromatic.
Propagation : The plant can be propagated by stem cuttings. Cut part of the stem with at least one leaf and some aerial roots, and place in water or directly in moist soil until roots develop. With the help of our mosspole, it becomes even easier to take cuttings because these roots take root in the stake and you can get ready cuttings whenever you want :))
Monstera deliciosa is a beautiful and easy-care ornamental plant that can become an eye-catching addition to the home or office. With the right care, this plant can grow large and lush, and its unique foliage can add a tropical feel to any space. Buy Monstera Deliciosa online
