The species has not yet been officially described, but it will probably be called Alocasia chienlii. It is a reference to the photographer and botanist Ch'ien Lee who discovered several species in Indonesia.

She is the only known variety of alocasia with velvety leaves. Currently, the name "Antoro velvet" is widely used, with Antoro being an Indonesian plant collector who first brought this species into cultivation in 2017.

Care: Provide a very permeable soil with organic material and water the plant regularly when the humidity is relatively low. A bright place without direct sunlight is best.
